er ein [[Gard (matrikkelgard)|gard]] (gnr. 5) som saman med [[Øvre Hegland]] (gnr. 4) utgjer grenda [[Hegland]] i [[Bygland]]. <br /> <br /> == Historie ==<br /> Når Hegland blei delt i to gardar veit ein ikkje sikkert. Men det må ha vore før Svartedauden, skriv [[Reidar Vollen]] i &#039;&#039;[[Bygland gard og ætt]]&#039;&#039;.<br /> <br /> Den første namngjevne personen frå Hegland er Gro Hegland (nemnt 1437). Ein veit ikkje om ho høyrde til Øvre eller Nedre Hegland. I tida før år 1600 kjenner ein to namn frå Nedre Hegland, Svenke Åsulvson og Alv Torjusson. Dei sat då truleg med halve garden kvar.
